Sword & Shield
The University of Tampa Athletic Program builds champions. For the past decade, the Spartan athletic program has ranked among the top 30 of over 300 NCAA Division II schools, achieving measurable success in graduation rates and team GPAs while also taking an active role in community service.
Baseball
The UT baseball team has established itself as one of the nation’s premier programs, winning a total of eight national championships. With five national titles in the 2000’s, UT has more than any school at all NCAA levels.
Men’s Basketball
The Spartan men’s basketball team welcomed a new era with the hiring of head coach Linc Darner in 2023. The former national champion coach has guided teams at the NCAA Division I and II levels to the NCAA Tournament.
Swimming
UT’s swimming program boasts more All-Americans than any sport at the University, and has established both programs among the nation’s elite teams. The men are coming off a fourth-place finish at the 2023 NCAA Championships.
Men’s Golf
The University of Tampa men’s golf team returned to the NCAA Tournament in 2023, marking its first appearance since 1994.
Men’s Soccer
UT has captured a total of three national championships in men’s soccer, with the most recent coming in 2001. The Spartans regularly place alums in professional leagues across the world and also has several former players in the coaching ranks.
Women’s Basketball
With four straight SSC Championships, the Spartans are coming off the program’s first NCAA South Region title. UT went 33-2 in the 2022-23 season, setting a program record for wins in a season.
Volleyball
The four-time national champions continue to reign as one of the nation’s most successful programs. Since 2005, UT has also taken five international trips due to the generosity of its supporters.
